With the progression of electrification of vehicles and thus affecting many systems such as steering, cooling, etc., but also secondary assemblies, e.g. water pump, starter/ generator, the usage of higher voltages also seems to be unavoidable for comfort functions. Electric vehicles with system voltages of up to 600V are already implemented today.
At the same time, the 48V board (partial) network is pushing forward again.
In order to better assess the future business situation and development, we have prepared a study in the form of surveys and interviews with leading OEMs and suppliers for our customers. To predict a resilient trend of future electrical systems, the focus was placed on the development of new electromechanical secondary units, as well as possible power electronics.
